 Dear Colin,
Do you keep your promises?
It’s easy to make a promise, but oh so much harder to keep it. We like to monitor our promise of outstanding customer service, and what better way than asking our customers how they think we are doing. The results are sometimes quite surprising…
Remember lidos? They seem to remind everyone of long summer days in their childhood, so it’s good to see that Plymouth are set to supply more lingering memories. We were delighted to supply a lift to this project in time for the busy holiday season.
The promise of simpler legislation never really seems to come to fruition. In our 'other news' item we visit the promise of BS EN 81-41 changes, still awaiting a final published version. Then there is the impending Equality Act 2010, promising ‘one act covers all’?
I promise that is for another day.
Regards
Alastair Stannah

Stannah cuts a dash at Art Deco lido
Without a doubt, the al fresco bathing joys of Plymouth Hoe’s Tinside Lido have been made more accessible with the installation of a Stannah Maxilift passenger lift.
This ten-person people-mover now provides a direct shortcut from the clifftop entrance to the seawater pool six metres below. Before its arrival, would-be bathers had to trek the long way round when, surely, time and energies are best saved for waterplay and a measure of poolside cool.
