Dear Building Professional,

Well – what a start to 2009! Challenging times call for innovative solutions...

It's business as usual for Stannah Lifts with exciting new products coming soon, increased major lift refurbishment work in the order books and a noticeable swing towards lift solutions from a single supplier (see below).

We look forward to meeting all the challenges of 2009 with our usual attention to quality, safety and value and the special addition of a smile.

It works wonders…

Regards,

Alastair Stannah

Saving time, manpower and money

Saving time, manpower and money

Our enquiries have shown a marked trend towards sourcing all lift requirements for a particular project from one supplier. In the past the opposite was often true. Project managers seemed reluctant to commit to working with a single supplier maybe feeling they might be putting all their eggs in one basket.

So what has changed?

Well Stannah have certainly changed in expanding our range of commercial products (with more to come in 2009) but our clients tell us it's more than that.

  • Budgets are tighter so it makes sense to negotiate with one supplier.
  • Project teams are often smaller so dealing with one company, rather than two or three, saves manpower and time.
  • Time management and logistics on site can be tighter and simpler for all.

But above all we think it’s about relationships; building trust and a mutual understanding of the challenges of the project and working together to achieve a desired outcome.

Access to extraordinary places

Access to extraordinary places

Going out and about since the advent of the DDA does really make you realise how our society previously shunned people with disabilities. The more we plan to accommodate all types of people in all types of the buildings the higher our expectations of accessibility become. We are constantly completing installations in education, healthcare, offices, retail and housing. Now and again we are asked to install our lifts in extraordinary places.
