Dear Building Professional,

Will the mumblings about green shoots signal economic growth or are we just in time for a late frost – who can tell?

Well in the lift industry our key areas of refurbishment and regeneration are buoyant. This work, in conjunction with the installations of new lifts across the rail network, is maintaining growth in our lift services division.

There seems little sign of people losing the habit of eating out, which is good news for our Microlifts division. The installation of dumbwaiters continues to be imperative when it comes to good customer service and maximising space within a leisure venue.

In-house we’ve been focusing on our own systems and in return have been awarded accreditations and won an award for our attention to health and safety.

So, assuming the sun will be here to encourage us through the next few months, let’s hope those shoots bear fruit and we all reap rewards for our endeavour in 2009.
